A walk round Hunstanton - The Water Sports Club area
The wind-powered sports are concentrated around the sailing club area on the North Promenade but the powered sports are here on the South promenade. As you walk down to the water sports club itself you pass a landing stage where you can take a trip on an amphibious vehicle.
If starting the walk from the South car-park, visit this area last. Instead, cross Southend Road, leaving the new Tesco supermarket on you left, and start up Oasis Way, as described at the bottom of the page.

The Water Sports Centre has a slipway and car-park and is available for personal water-craft (jetskis) and power-boats. Have your insurance certificate with you! The club insists on third-party cover.
You can take several different trips on the amphibian, 'Wash Monster', or the associated boat, 'Sea Lion', which is a comfortable catamaran. Some trips go out to see the seals on the sandbanks of the North Norfolk coast. Others land you on sandbars at low tide (cricket, anyone?) whilst some are straightforwards sightseeing.

The Wash Monster lives in a compound behind the water sports centre when it's not on duty.
From the South Promenade, thread your way back through the small roads via South Beach road to the roundabout near the new Tesco Supermarket. Go straight across and head up Oasis Way. Just by the bus-stop there is a path to the left that will take you through the town cemetery across Melton Drive (by a right-and-left dog-leg) to Hill Street.
