A walk round Hunstanton - The Squares
As you walk towards Cliff Parade admire the elegant architecture of
(most of !) the buildings that look out across the sea.
Turn slightly to your right as you cross the road and you come to the
Boston Square Sensory Garden, opened in 2000.
The seaward end has been planted with species that can withstand and thrive in
the sea winds and relative dryness of this location.
At the seaward end there is also a fountain.
Birds feed on the native plants in the area and on the insects they attract.
At the landward end is a paved area with a smaller fountain in a ring of
copper beech trees.
This is how they looked when first planted.
A little further north lies Lincoln Square, one of the quiet parks in
Hunstanton, particularly in the evening when this photograph was taken.
This is the residential end of the town and seems much further from the
hustle and bustle of the pleasure beach than it actually is.

From here, follow Cliff Parade north to the
Cliff car-park
