| A walk round Hunstanton - The North Promenade | |

| The Promenade stretches from the ramp up the cliffs to the North to the old pier at the South. During the summer the beach at this point forms a centre for sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. At appropriate states of the tide the sands are also ideal for sand-yachting and in the prevailing wind the updraught from the cliffs is used to good effect by hang-gliders. | |

There is an active sailing club based towards the south end of the Promenade, just north of the old pier. |
| The pier was built in 1870, and swept away by a storm in the 1960s. It was replaced with a rather uninspiring pier that was in turn washed away in January 1978, leaving just the pierhead. This burned down in 2002 and has been replaced by a more modern entertainment centre. |
