A walk round Hunstanton - Valentine Road and the Council Offices
The Council offices are on Valentine Road, next to the junction with Westgate. This important road is also home to the local Doctor's surgery (recently dramatically extended). At the far (north) end is a striking building complex, the old convalescent home, now flats.

The Council Offices are another example of the extremely attractive impression made by the local carrstone and brick buildings. It seems reasonable to deduce that the Planning department are extremely proud of the building! The car-park includes the local glass and paper recycling point.
The buildings behind Valentine Court were originally a convalescent home, opened in 1979. It has since been converted to flats. It provides another example of sympathetic modern use of the traditional local materials.

At the end of Valentine Road turn left onto Greevegate and walk downhill the short distance to St. Edmund's Church
