Wickham Family Cruise Logs

These logs represent long or significant trips on the boat, as far as I have had time to document them. We've also spent a large number of long week-ends and working trips aboard.

Nov 2006 - The first cruise - picking up the boat.
Fetching the boat from Wrenbury Mill, part 1.

Nov 2006 - The Caldon cruise.
One of our less successful forays...

Dec 2006 - Picking up the boat, part 2.
We had been trapped by lock closures, but still had to get the boat home before Christmas.

Jan 2007 - Delivery to Gayton.
The boatyard who sold us the boat agreed to do some work on it as part of the deal. Now we have to get the boat to their main yard.

Feb 2007 - Collection from Gayton.
The boatyard who sold us the boat have finished the work they are doing as part of the sale deal. Now we have to get the boat back from their main yard.

Feb 2007 - Market Harborough.
At last, a trip for pure pleasure rather than to get the boat from one place to another.

April 2007 - Stoke Bruerne and back.
A 'working' trip to get some paint on the boat. And ruin a fender.

June 2007 - Milton Keynes and back.
We has a spare week so decided to go to Milton Keynes. As well as allowing us to explore the canal beyond Stoke Bruerne (new ground for us) this also lets Jane see where Ric was working on his last contract.

Sept 2007 - The Ashby canal.
Our friends from the midlands had told us the Ashby was awful so we decided to go and see for ourselves.
Aug 2008 - The Leicester Ring.
This was our first major trip. We had three weeks, and the idea was to get some paint on the boat as well as cruise. But it rained some part of every day, so that didn't work at all.
